⏳ RRB NTPC 2025 – Age Limit Criteria

1. Undergraduate-Level Posts (10+2 Based)

Minimum Age: 18 years

Maximum Age: 30 years

Minimum Age: 18 years

🧾 Age Relaxation (Category-Wise)

Age relaxation in the upper age limit for RRB NTPC 2025 varies by category as per government rules. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category are eligible for a relaxation of 5 years, while those in the OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category get a 3-year relaxation. For persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD), the age relaxation is 10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC, and 15 years for SC/ST candidates.

Ex-servicemen are eligible for age relaxation based on their length of service in the armed forces. After deducting the military service from their actual age, they can avail of relaxation up to 33 years + 3 years for UR, 36 years for OBC, and 38 years for SC/ST candidates.

Additionally, widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated and not remarried are given relaxation up to 35 years for UR, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST.

📝 RRB NTPC 2025 – Exam Pattern (All Stages)

The selection process consists of multiple stages, depending on the post.

1. CBT-1: Computer-Based Test – Stage 1 (Screening)

This is the preliminary exam common for all applicants.

3. Skill Test / Aptitude Test (If applicable)

Required for posts like:

Typing Speed Required:

 

English: 30 words per minute (wpm)

Hindi: 25 words per minute (wpm)

 

Typing test is qualifying only – no marks added to merit.

 

Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

 

Applicable for:

  • Traffic Assistant

  • Station Master

Minimum 42 marks in each test battery to qualify (no relaxation).

Final merit is based 70% CBT-2 + 30% CBAT.

 

4. Document Verification & Medical Examination

-Candidates shortlisted after the above stages must:

-Produce all required original documents

Undergo a medical fitness test conducted by Railway medical authorities

  • All exams are conducted online (CBT mode)
